On February 5, 2016 in Almaty (Kazakhstan) took place an international conference-workshop on the promotion of the Model Law on public-private partnership for CIS countries

The event was organized by the Interparliamentary Assembly of CIS member states in cooperation with the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).

The conference was attended by representatives of the UNECE, EDB, EBRD, representatives of public authorities and experts of the Russian Federation, Republic of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan.

The conference addressed the issues of implementation of the main provisions of CIS Model Law "On public-private partnership", in particular: preparation of PPP project, PPP agreement, selection of a private partner for PPP project implementation, compliance of provisions of the Model Law with the expectations of international investors to the regulatory framework in field of PPP .

The Chairman of the Board of the Center I. Zapatrina has made a presentation at the conference "Development of PPP market and legislation in Ukraine. Conclusions upon the work on the Model PPP Law for CIS countries".

On January 27, 2016 the Chairman of the Board of the Center I. Zapatrina took part in the World Bank's conference "Public investment management: experience of reforming and challenges" which was held in the IBRD office in Kiev

On January 13, 2016 at the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine took place a meeting of the Working Group on the issue of construction of modern European penal institutions and detention centers based on public-private partnership

The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Board of the Center I. Zapatrina.

On December 23, 2015 in Kiev took place a meeting of the National Advisory Council on efficient management of public finance, organized by the Institute budget and socio-economic research under support of USAID

On December 15-16, 2015 in the premises of the Chamber of Trade and Commerce of Ukraine took place a training seminar “PPP as an instrument of investment attraction”

Organizers of the seminar – the Ministry of economic development and trade of Ukraine and the World bank.  The training was conducted by an advisor of the World bank Jay-Hyung Kim and the World bank consultants Martin Darcy and Iryna Zapatrina.  The program of the seminar and presentations are in the section “Conferences and round tables”.

On December 14, 2015 in news agency "Ukrinform" took place a round table "Ukrainian concession - the new rules of the game", organized by the Institute of Social and Economic Research

The round table was attended by the Chairman of the Board of the Center I. Zapatrina.

On December 3-4, 2015 the delegation of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) and the Business Advisory Board of UNECE have visited Kyiv (Ukraine)

The UNECE delegation included: UNECE Secretariat representative Claudio Meza, the Head of the Delegation; Managing Director of Asian branch of Societe Generale Gevin Munro, Hong Kong; Managing Director of Van Oord Marlies Janssen, the Netherlands; the Chairman of InfraLinxCapital Richard Ornitz, USA; the Chairman of the PPP Development Support Center Irina Zapatrina; Partner of "Bessarab and Partners" Tatiana Bessarab.

On December 3 the delegation held meetings with the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine. On December 4 the Ministry of Infrastructure held a workshop on the development of public-private partnership in the transport sector, particularly in modernization of ports of Ukraine.

On November 30, 2015 on the basis of the Kiev National University of Construction and Architecture (KNUBA) took place a round table on the problems of road safety

The organizers - the National Partnership for Road Safety and Research Institute for economic and administrative problems of road safety. The round table was held under the support of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine.
