Irina Zapatrina, the Chairman of the Board of the Center has made a speech at the conference.
The goal of the colloquium - preparation of recommendations for UNCITRAL regarding possible future work on PPP legal support development, in particular, expediency of preparation of new model PPP law, key issues to be fixed in this law, directions of further improvement of legal manual of UNCITRAL on PPP issues, work organization principles of expert community in this field.
Ukraine was represented by: Teresia Babych, the head of the department of Ukravtodor and Irina Zapatrina, the Chaiman of the Board of the Center. Irina Zapatrina has actively participated in the work of the colloquium, made a presentation on analysis of the legal problems while implementing PPPs, evaluation of necessity to harmonize public procurement procedures with PPP procurment; determination of key elements to be included to the sample (model) PPP law; directions of harmonization and consolidation of the current legal and other manuals on PPP issues, prepared by different international organizations; PPP forms and types that require special attention; directions of further development of international regulation in PPP area and peculiarities of its adaptation to the institutional peculiarities of the developing countries.

The conference was conducted under the patronage of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine, the Ministry of Regional Development, Construction and Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine, the Kyiv City State Administration, the State Agency for Investment and National Projects of Ukraine and the Association of the Ukrainian Cities.
Among the participants of the conference were more than 150 delegates including representatives of international financial institutions, PPP centers of Kazakhstan, France, the Russian Federation, Ukrainian and foreign companies, public authorities of Ukraine.

The Forum was organized by the Institute of budget and social-economic research in the framework of USAID project “Strengthening of local initiative”.
Irina Zapatrina has made a presentation “Public-private partnership and regional development in Ukraine”.
At the session it was discussed the current state and development perspectives of PPP as an important instrument of efficiency increasing of investment projects implementation, public authority bodies’ performance, cooperation and ensuring of social unity in the society.
V. Oleshchenko, a member of the Board of the Center, took part in the meeting. It was conducted bilateral consultations with many of the participants interested in further cooperation on PPP issues.
