On October 23-24, 2017 in Vienna (Austria) took place the third International Colloquium on Public-Private Partnership on updating and consolidating the UNCITRAL Legislative Guide on Privately Financed Infrastructure Projects and accompanying Legislative Recommendations and Model Legislative Provisions on Private Financed Infrastructure Projects

Irina Zapatrina, the Chairman of the Board of the Center took part in the group that considered improving chapter II of the Guide “Project Risks and Government Support”.

On September 15, 2017 Irina Zapatrina, the Chairman of the Board of the Center, took part in the Black Sea Stakeholder Conference on Blue Economy that took place in Batumi ( Georgia) under the support of the European Commission, and made a presentation " Port infrastructure development to ensure sustainable development»

On August 30, 2017, Irina Zapatrina, the Chairman of the Board of the Center, took part in negotiations with Henry Shterenberg, General Manager of the Ukrainian company "Ukrainian Global Trade & Investor, Inc.", conducted by Sergey Savchuk, the Head of the State Agency for Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine

The parties have discussed the prospects of cooperation in the field of energy production from waste based on  public-private partnership in Ukraine.

On July 28, 2017 Irina Zapatrina has presented Methodology of developing Sustainable Development Strategies for cities on the example of Oleksandria at the training "Taking into account the Sustainable Development Goals in the strategies of development of territorial communities" in the framework of the UNDP / GEF project "Integration of the provisions of the Rio Conventions into the national policy of Ukraine"

On July 11-12, 2017 took place a joint meeting of the Ukrainian-Turkish working group on public-private partnership held in the premises of the CMU Club

In the framework of the event, it was signed a Memorandum of Understanding between Ukrainian PPP Development Support Center and PPP Center of Excellence (Istanbul, Turkey).

On June 22, 2017 the Chairman of the Board of the Center Irina Zapatrina has participated in the First International Congress on Reforming the Road Traffic Safety Management System with presentation "Reforming the Road Traffic Safety Management System: Economic and Financial Mechanisms for Solving Existing Problems"

The conference was held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine.

On June 21, 2017, the Chairman of the Board of the Center Irina Zapatrina has made presentation "Public-Private Partnership as an Instrument for the Development of the Regions: International Experience and Opportunities to Apply it in Ukraine" at the All-Ukrainian Meeting-Seminar for the heads of the structural subdivisions of the regional state administrations involved in regional development

The seminar was held in the city of Lviv.

On 29-30 May 2017 in Kyiv (Hotel Alfavito) took place International Conference "Modernization of infrastructure in Ukraine: new opportunities for private sector participation"

The conference was supported by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine, Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine, State Agency for Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine.

Organizers: Academy of Public-Private Partnership, ACTIO Law firm,  Ukrainian PPP Development Support Center.

Partners of the event: Territory Development Agency, Dornier Consulting International, Baker McKenzie.

The conference was attended by about 80 delegates, including representatives of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe, leading international experts on public-private partnership, representatives of public authorities and the private sector of Ukraine. Foreign countries were represented by participants from the US, UK, Germany, Spain, Poland, Portugal, UAE and others.

At the conference it was discussed new international trends in the development of public-private partnership in the context of sustainable development goals of the United Nations, examined the role of public-private partnership in city development, presented the experience of PPP projects implementation in transport, energy, waste management, social infrastructure renovation and the possibility of implementing best international practices in Ukraine and prospects of implementation of projects in Ukraine on the basis of public-private partnerships in conditions of reforming legal regulation in this area.

On 9-11 May 2017 in Hong Kong took place International PPP Forum "Implementing the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development through effective, people-first Public-Private Partnerships", organized by UN Economic Commission for Europe

The forum brought together experts on PPPs, representatives of government and business from more than 20 countries. The delegation of Ukraine was presented by Irina Zapatrina - Chairman of the Board of Ukrainian PPP Center, Anna Shatkovska - president of Academy of PPP, Natalia Ivanova - Director of «FORTAX», Andrey Sokolov - Acting Director of Kherson sea port and Alexander Milto - Head of Territory Development Agency and his deputy Anna Nesterenko  from Kropivnitskiyi.
